A Sparkly 4th of July Challenge!

Well, I guess 4th of July is supposed to sparkly, right? Considering the fireworks and all? :) That's how I came up with the idea for this week's theme challenge here at Made Especially For You.

Create a 4th of July card featuring some form of bling - glitter, rhinestones, pearls, you name it! Anything sparkly and blingy. :)

One lucky, randomly chosen winner of this challenge will win their choice of three images from our lovely sponsor, The Stamping Boutique. The winner will also be offered a one-week guest designer position here at MEFY.

I used a few different forms of bling on my challenge card - glitter, rhinestones, and shiny confetti.

The super cool airplane digi is from The Stamping Boutique, of course, and I paired it with some patriotic paper and many forms of bling. There's four dark red rhinestones on the corner of the digi, and also three slightly larger dark red rhinestones in the top righthand corner of the card, although they blend in with the paper and are sort of hard to see. I used chipboard letters for the "USA" and used an Elmer's glue pen and dark red glitter to make them sparkly. I also had the star-shaped confetti (why I have it, I have no idea) but I thought it would be so cool to make the little ends of the fireworks actual stars instead of *-like shapes.

Come join us for this week's challenge! The fun starts at the Weekly Challenge page!
