Life's a Beach!

Hi everyone! Just a quick post tonight to share with you an easel card I made for this week's sketch challenge at Peachy Keen, and also the new True Blue Stickles linky party at All that Stickles!

I love how it turned out! I'm normally not a big scene card girl, but as soon as I saw this week's sketch challenge, the idea for this card immediately came to mind:

If you look at the bottom portion of the card, you'll see how the crinkle ribbon from 3 Girl Jam and the twine make up the layered portion of the sketch. :)

Here's a close up of these beach cuties! All stamps (including the sentiment) are from the PKSC-18 stamp set. I used the coordinating SVG files that come with the set to cut out the white pieces, and then stamped the images on there and colored them with Copic markers. I embossed the clouds and added Frosted Lace Stickles to the swirls, and also cut a wave border using my Silhouette and added True Blue Stickles. The sand is actual craft sand from Hobby Lobby.

Here's a side view of the card! Of course the clouds would cover the sun right as I was trying to take this picture. Ugh - crafter problems. :)
