Party Pig Trio

Happy Saturday! Busy day today between having to work for a few hours and stop by a cousin's birthday party, but I'm hoping to have some crafty time later tonight. It's been much too long! Well, only a couple of days, but in my mind that's way too long. :)

Today I'm sharing with you a card I made for the new linky party at All that Stickles! This linky party is all about the color Baby Blue! I created a birthday card for my sister (whose birthday happens to be today - along with her twin) since she loves pigs and I thought this digi from one of our sponsors, Bugaboo Stamps, fit the occasion perfectly:

This was one of those cards I had a really hard time finding coordinating elements for - I hate when that happens. Of course we all own nearly every piece of paper under the sun yet we can NEVER find the one that matches what you're looking for. Why does it always work out that way?!

Anyways, the papers I DID end up finding are DCWV and Recollections, and the sentiment is part of a Get Inky! stamp collection. I also accented the card with some infamous dew drops from The Robin's Nest, who also happens to be one of our sponsors this month. :)

I colored the adorable digi stamp with my Copics and accented the digi with Baby Blue Stickles. The Copics I used are:

B00, B02
YG11, YG13
RV34, RV52

Hope to see you and your glittery fingers this week at All that Stickles!

Don't forget I also have a 700 Follower Giveaway going on. :)

October Sketch Challenge

It's sketch challenge week here at Made Especially For You! Here's the sketch this week's challenge is inspired by:
And here's my take on the sketch, using an adorable Halloween image from our sponsor, Bugaboo Stamps:

I used some Stickles (Star Dust and Black Diamond) to enhance the ghost and the letters, and the image is colored with Prismacolor pencils. I decided to make a friendly Halloween card instead of a spooky one, and thought the patterned paper from the Cricut Celebrations paper pack was a good fit. :)

Thanks so much for stopping by, check back later this week for the announcement of my 600 follower giveaway I'll be having! :)

September Sketch Challenge

It's time for another Made Especially For You sketch challenge sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps! I just love using Bugaboo images, they are so fun to color and all of them are so adorable! I'm always jealous of the winner who wins 7 images from their choice from Bugaboo, which is the prize for this week's challenge!

This week's challenge is to create a card inspired by the following sketch:
You are more than welcome to flip or rotate the sketch any way you'd like, as long as the sketch is still visible on your card

I chose the Fall Turtle image from Bugaboo to use with this month's sketch, and I'm so happy with the way it turned out! I colored him with my Prismacolor pencils and then paired him with some fall paper by DCWV. I was at Joann's last week and they had a 180 sheet DCWV Fall & Halloween paper pack for only $9.99... I couldn't pass it up! I've already used it on so many fall projects and can't wait to get started on Halloween. :) Enough with my babbling, here's the card:

The leaves in the corners of the card are Cuttlebug die cuts that I cut with patterned paper that already had leaves on it. The 'happy fall' sentiment is from the Fall For You stamp set by {ippity} and I distressed the edges of the card, the background for the sentiment, and the background of the digi with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo distress ink. I love the way it turned out!

Three Pearls Challenge

This week's challenge at Made Especially For You is to create a card using three pearls

The nurse bear (from Bugaboo) is colored with Prismacolor pencils and distressed with red ink. The background is embossed with a floral Cuttlebug embossing folder and I added the pearls and some red ribbon from my stash. I like making CAS cards every once in a while!

Our sponsor this week is Bugaboo Stamps, and they graciously allowed each design team member to choose an image to use on their card. The winner of the challenge will win their choice of seven images from their store.

It's Sketch Week at Made Especially For You!

It's the second week of the month which mean's it's time for a sketch challenge here at Made Especially For You! Not only is it the start of our sketch challenge, it's also the start of our 7 Days of Facebook Giveaways! Each day of this week (July 9 - July 16) one randomly chosen Facebook fan per day will win a prize IF they post on our wall telling us their favorite part about Made Especially For You. Click here for more information.

Back to the challenge... here's this week's fun sketch:

This week's sponsor is Bugaboo Stamps, and they're always generous enough to provide each of the design team members with one of their digis to use on our cards. I chose this cute little birthday pig to help me get inspired by the sketch:

I have NO idea how this card turned out to be so bright and flamboyant! Don't get me wrong, I love to use bright colors, but normally not this many on one card. The colors in the ribbon flags are what inspired the color combo for this card, but after doing some vigorous searching through my stash I couldn't come up with the exact colors in the ribbon, and had to find the next closest shade. It definitely makes for a fun, energetic birthday card!

Bugaboo Stamps will be giving away seven images of the winner's choice for this week's sketch challenge! Come play along with us for a chance to win!

Have a great week!

Sketch-Inspired Graduation Card

It seems like the time between Mondays is getting faster and faster - I guess that's what happens when you're having fun! We're back with another challenge here at Made Especially For You, and this week is sketch week. You can make any type of card you'd like, as long as it's inspired by the following sketch:
Our sponsor this week is the fabulous Bugaboo Stamps. I must say, they've become one of my favorite digi stamp sites and I really look forward to working with their images each month. They're offering the randomly chosen winner 7 images of their choice, a $21 value! The winner will also be offered a one-week guest designer position. As always, the top three will have their cards displayed at MEFY and will receive a top three badge to display on their blogs.

I chose this adorable owl graduation digi and sentiment from Bugaboo to use on this week's card. I had a lot of fun playing around with different ideas for the card, and here's what I finally came up with:

This is actually one of my favorite cards I've made in a while. I colored this cute little fella with my Prismacolor pencils and combined it with papers from the DCWV High School mat stack. I was worried all the little graduation caps would be too obnoxious, but I'm pleased with the way it turned out. If I could go back, I would repaint the 2012 numbers white instead of burgundy, I was trying to pull more red out of the background, and then realized the white would've looked better. Oh well! :)

Stop by the Weekly Challenge page to get inspired by the sketch and to see what creations the design team has come up with. We'd love if you played along with us!
